Mailman plug-in does not re-provision if a user creates a new preferred email

I have a mailman plugin set to prefer "Mailing List" emails, but not all users have this set. This is fine in practice, as the plugin will use their official email address which is what most users want. However, if a users exercises their self-service permission to add a "Mailing List" email to send to/from a different address, then the plugin does not automatically update Mailman. A manual re-provision of the list(s) the user is subscribed to is required to update their email.
