ui should give descriptive error when putting in blank value for required group attribute

This isnt urgent, when when I blank out a required group attribute, it doesnt tell me what the problem is. Should probably also go back to the group attribute edit screen (right now just goes to the error screen). I can work on this too eventually also if you dont have time...
