make sources xml db agnostic

the concat of the sql with percent signs the only gap we have between where we are now and having cross DB sources.xml? right now you have to change the queries for postgres and sql server... shouldn't we just do that in java and not in the sources.xml and they we only need one query for all dbs? We could have a param to disable this if people don't want it done...
