React: Security settings do not consistently persist when editing a saved metadata source

Please see the attached video for steps. Skip to about 1:20 to see the security edit.

Note that the edit/save attempt shows up as a new version, with no changes between it and the previous version (see screenshots).

Also, if I only filled out the security page and left the rest blank, I wasn't able to duplicate the problem .. hence the video.
