So, I deleted the WS account and re-added. The first call yielded a base64 sctring in the password field.

But the password was “mypassword”, so I re-ran it with the proper password and I no longer get the hashed form of the password, just the plaintext version. Same session, same everything. Delete the account using SQL, re-run, it works. Verified password using a WS call. I think there might be an error in changing passwords, not the initial add.
