The Action Required tab does not update metadata sources for a logged-in admin without a refresh

The Action Required tab does not update as metadata sources are manipulated on the sources tab. This seems to apply to both creation and deletion (and possibly enabling).

Steps to reproduce (at least, for creation/deletion):

1. Login as admin
2. In an incognito browser, login as nonadmin
3. Create a source
4. Logout
5. Switch back to admin
6. Change tabs from and back to metadata sources; the source will appear (but not on the action required tab)
7. Refresh. The action required tab will now have the source (and the badge number is incremented)
8. From the sources list (not the action required tab), delete the source

Expected result: The source should disappear from both the sources list tab and the action required tab. The badge number should decrement.
Actual result: The source is removed from the sources list tab, but remains on the action required tab until the browser is refreshed. The badge number does not decrement.
